What is the process of transferring a soldier from one unit to another within the state?
First the Soldier gets a letter of acceptance from the gaining unit, then they request from their losing commander to be released for transfer. Once the losing unit has the acceptance letter and the commander's release they complete a DA 4187 requesting transfer through their battalion S1 section.
