The 13F Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) is a Forward Observer. As a 13F, your main role is to serve as the eyes and ears of the artillery unit you are assigned to. You will be responsible for observing and reporting enemy positions, calling in artillery strikes, and providing tactical and technical guidance to the artillery unit. You will work closely with infantry units to coordinate fire support and help maximize the effectiveness of indirect fire. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain and operate various equipment, such as laser range finders and radios, to communicate critical information. It is important to be physically fit and mentally sharp in order to excel in this MOS.
